Child with congenital Heart Disese (Double outlet Right Ventricle without pulmonary stenosis)
This child lives in a remote village in the Batticaloa District diagnosed with the above condition since early childhood and is on the waiting list for cardiac surgery at the Lady Ridgeway Children's Hospital-Colombo.
This condition needs urgent surgery. The surgery is for an external conduit to be placed in the heart. This conduit will not be provided by the government hospitals in Sri Lanka. Hence, the patient's family has to provide it.
Unfortunately, this family is very poor and do not have anybody to speak on their behalf. Due to this reason, AEDU-International is looking for help for the child via external donors.
The cost of the conduit is SLR, 350,000 and SLR 150,000 will be offered from the presidential fund. The rest needs to be found by the family.
If additional funds are received it will be used to improve the home conditions (living conditions).This child lives in an unhygienic home environment due to poverty. A Better home environment will promote a speedy recovery.

UPDATE
AEDU-International arranged the operation without any cost to the family. In addition AEDU-International arranged Rs 50,000 for the expenses incured after the operation.
