Financial Accountability

Financial accountability is a central integral part of AEDU.

AEDU International and AEDU In Sri Lanka will take all necessary steps to be transparent and efficient in all its dealings. Optimising and prioritising all resources afforded is at the heart of the organisation.

AEDU-Sri Lanak in each district has separate accounts and managed by the committee in each district separately. All monetary contribution will be channeled through this account and all relevant audit trails will be maintained.

AEDU-Sri Lanka has internal auditors sitting on its committee to continually monitor and control its stewardship role.

AEDU-Sri Lanka in each districts will submit to an annual independent audit report and will present financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting priciples.

 

The audited accounts will be submitted to all stakeholders including the charity commission, in addition to being published on the AEDU-Internatioanl website.

Each district Committee will submit annual audited reports to donors and other relevant parties. It also will be displayed on the district page of the AEDU-International website.

AEDU-International and AEDU-Sri Lanka carefully monitors and reviews projects and programmes and its cost effectiveness.

AEDU-International and AEDU-Sri Lanka are working to ensure that all fund raising efforts portray and are used for those specific purposes and is continually looking for ways and means to improve efficiency for maximum impact.
