Welcome to AEDU-International

AEDU-International is a charitable organisation based in the UK.

This promotes Diaspora organisations and other organisations to coordinate and collaborate with AEDU-in Sri Lanka to support the traumatised and vulnerable children.

While raising the funds in the UK, AEDU-International is also promoting the vision of the AEDU globally to support the underprivileged children and the family in Sri Lanka.

AEDU was established in 1995 in the Batticaloa district of Sri Lanka. The same model of AEDU-Batticaloa was taken up by AEDU- Tricomalee, in 2008.

The main objective of AEDU is to implement a Foster Care Programme for the children affected by the Tsunami, war and other reasons.

Children with disabled parents or who lost the father or breadwinner are living in orphanages due to poverty. AEDU is financially supporting families to keep the children in the community with their families to prevent placing children in orphanages (Children homes) unnecessarily.
