WHAT WE DO

We implement various projects to uplift the lives of underprivileged children and families. After the Tsunami, AEDU-International was established to support the children who had lost the parents or the bread-winner due to Tsunami and war. We have initiated a foster care programme to minimise unnecessary institutionalisation of children. We aim to work towards keeping children in the community looked after by the mother or close relations. We provide financial assistance to these children and families and our members monitor the well-being of children and their educational progress. Though this said AEDU-International Foster care programme is the main project; we provide financial assistance to university students who are underprivileged and some have lost their bread-winners.
We also support school dropouts to develop a career and support vocational courses.

We provide assistances to initiate income generating programmes by these affected families to become self-sustainable.

In addition we support underprivileged remote schools and school children
